It is important that you advise us of your claim as soon as possible. Delays could prejudice your claim. You must also;
- Take all reasonable steps to prevent any further loss
- In the case of a burglary / theft / malicious damage, the incident should be reported to the police
- In the case of a liability claim - do not admit liability
- Providing you with emergency instructions at the time of loss
- Providing claim forms or advice on phone lodging new claims
- Advise you on what documents will be required to support your claim
- Submit claims directly to the Insurer in a detailed and professional manner
- Inform you on how the claim is progressing when required
- Recommend the appointment of other professional advisers if necessary
- Actively work with your Insurer to resolve and negotiate claims effectively and promptly
- Arrange for progressive (on account) payments for large claims
- Ensure timely receipt of settlement cheques from your Insurer
- Ongoing reviews of the claim at hand to ensure the procedure is travelling smoothly
- Act on your behalf to ensure you receive an optimum and fair claim settlement
